Arguably the most iconic aspect of Gothic architecture is the distinctive shape of archways (as both doors and windows). Couple you perhaps add some of these to the otherwise blank sides? They're most pronounced in ecclesiastical buildings but other buildings do tend to have them too, just not as ma...

Something that has always bothered me is the difference that using different bases makes. I guess it's easier to fit more stands (either for cover or for CC) if you use the short edge of the 1cmx4cm bases. I have a mix of base types just because of the era that the models came from, and it doesn't &...

Listing something rare at £75 and sticking at that price until it sells is an entirely different business model to listing something you bought last week at 99p and taking advantage of people mistakenly believing it's no longer in production. Strange that you think the first is less acceptable than ...

To be honest, I have no problem with the rule as written (aside from the way it's written) because of this part: you may only use the ability if all of the units taking part can use it If you're firing a barrage, you can only use disrupt if all units taking part in the barrage have the disrupt abili...

Sure. I assume you mean the metal ones (like GW currently sell). I'll have a look this evening.

Great read, a definite "get em hooked" report.

Retaining the initiative: is this really only allowed once per turn? I know Eldar can only do a double retain once per turn, but thought there was no such restriction normally. Can't find it in the rules at least.

Have repaired a couple of turrets, will see if they hold and if I'm happy with them. Otherwise, they'll become objectives probably. They are a right pain, even the barrels that were intact were like curly fries. Lots of hassle. Must admit I do prefer the hulls, I'd consider swapping out my metal fal...

If the pack I bought recently, and their replacements, are anything to go by you'll need all three from a pack if you're to make a whole unbroken model. Most of the turret gun barrels were broken on mine. On the upside, I now have some spare hulls (including one that is missing the front half). I wi...

I know it shouldn't wind me up, but it does. When buying and selling was done the old fashioned way via shops, those shops added value. They provided the means for people to obtain the items they were after, and it was fair that they added a markup. Now we've got eBay, it's the website that provide...

Back in the day, when the moon of Epic 40K was waning, I bought a bunch of stuff in the grand sell off that GW stores were having at the time. Aside from some Eldar stuff (my main army), I apparently picked up some IG things. These are: 6 manticores 6 baneblades 9 hellhounds 3 demolishers 3 hydras 2...

I'm just getting back into Epic after a long hiatus, and am managing to play a game every few weeks or so against a friend who played Space Marine back in the day. I'd love to play a few more games and I live in Cambridgeshire... I'm a bit nervous about tournaments though, I've never been to one and...

Oh they had warhounds, loads of them in fact. I asked him what other stuff they had that wasn't on the website, he said "some guard and some Tau", so I asked him if any chimeras and he said "just conquerors, and the Tau isn't infantry unfortunately". I wasn't after anything speci...
