Yup.... Varingyr as in Squats. In my head canon, the Varingyr were often referred to by humans as Squats, but it is a bit of a derogatory term. They prefer to think of themselves as the Children of Varin, or Varingyr. I now have game two under my belt in the campaign. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-566G... |

This rule set tries to capture the feel of commanding armies in this time period so the scale is an army/battle scale game. That said... |

Every year, I try to make a list of Goals I want to accomplish in the following year with my wargaming hobby. It is nothing to intense and helps guide my decisions about money and time as I go through the year. I took a look back at my list, and evaluated my progress in July, and now that it is the ... |

It has a long pedigree, going all the way back to the 80s. It is unclear where the origins of the car combat genre firs... |

The Tyranid Fleet was one of the first ones I sculpted. I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted to approach it after struggling with the Ammoriss Naval PDF. I had learned a few tricks of the trade and as I got better at sculpting I learned that the organic shapes of the Tyranids were actually easie... |

The Corinthian War was a conflict between an expansionist Sparta and her allies and the combined alliance of Athens, Corinth, Thebes, and Argos. The war took place between 395 to 387 BC and involved forces on land and sea. The land warfare mostly took place near Corinth and Thebes while the ocean b... |

It has been a long time since I have played a game of this. I decided to break it out again for two major reasons. First, the death of Dystopian Wars as Spartan Games and their re-birth as Warcradle Games gave me a bit of a hankering for make believe Naval warfare. The second was reading some of my ... |

Onto the new batreps for Rampant Stars . This is a generic ruleset for Sci-fi games that are miniature line agnostic, scale agnostic, and usable in any sci-fi setting from a grim dark universe, to Vietnam in space, to the war against the machines. Rampant Stars uses relatively broad unit types and S... |

On my blog is a battle of Aquanautica Imperialis between the Tau Auxiliary Fleet and Ammoirss Pirates. It originally took place in 2011, so my apologies if the pictures are not 100% in order. I do not really recall the game. However, it was brought to the light by the Great Photobucket Fiasco of 201... |
