@Signal: The reason I am taking the approach I am is because the Elysians do not have access to a lot of heavy weaponry. I do not intend to allow them to field "batteries" of artillery as that goes completely against their fluff. Also although the mortars are not exactly spot on, they aren...

Just so that everyone is aware, the after effects of the vaccine weren't too bad, so I am on task. Also, I've re-read the entire thread again to get current. Expected changes: 1. Adding the one plasma gun per two infantry stands, same plasma gun stats as STs 2. Cyclops at the BL stats 75 pts, 3 unit...

Ok, keep your pants on. There's a ton of Real Life (tm) going on right now, not the least of which is an acquisition of the company I work for last week, with the results yet to be determined. As a target, it looks like I will have the Memorial Day weekend to work on the list as I'll be sitting at h...

Actually, the virus I was down with led to bacterial pneumonia...since this has been my second tour of duty (2007). Running in sub-freezing temperatures is no longer on my workout menu. Also I'll be lining myself up with the P vaccine to help deflect any future opportunities. It's also crazy here at...

Is there a link to an Iron Warriors list?

I went through the Chaos listing and didn't find any active threads. Rumor has it that Steve54 has one.

Cheers,

So, here's the first few bits of my Vraksian Renegades. The most part of a Malcador company and a Valdor support formation. I decided to take a bit of time with these as I really wanted them to look like they were recognizable from the IA books. To that point, I did a number of silly things like add...

I voted for the Dreadclaw I love the Dreadclaw, but, as others have stated, it really is just a marker. Actually, it shouldn't be. I really haven't been paying attention to the existing Dreadclaw rules, but to be properly simulated as in 40K, the Dreadclaw is able to re-assault, whereas the SM varia...

Do you thin them a lot? I agree that you get a much more realistic tone with them, but find it a little bit troublesome when I paint 6mm that they contain so much pigment. Yes, absolutely and apologies if I didn't make that point before. I use my "poor man's wet palette" technique with th...

A couple of points: 1. I am in no way complaining about the Manta. I think it works. I don't like facing it, but I'd say the same thing about a Warlord titan. I think being able to add it to the Tau toolbox is a good thing. 2. My comment about FW's is an observation or set of observations from sever...
