I think the new 40k plastic Tyranid parts are great for this kind of titan project. It's looking very promising! Also, that looks like a good haul of Tyranid proxies, will be great to see where you take them. Will you use your urban bases the same as your Sisters of Battle or perhaps something else?

Sorry, I am new, didn't mean to ask such an obvious question, ha ha!

Your figures are, of course, absolutely beautiful. I might not be able to match you, but I will be using Grey Knights figures on your bases. =)

I always imagined Ad Mech based on the clunky weird Ordinatus models from when I was a kid - the weirder and more cobbled together it looks, the better. =D

Thanks for the replies!

The only 40k guard I ever got were some metal Valhallans and some ratlings I painted in winter colours so I have a fondness for them. =)

DESPERATE for your Revenant conversion guide! :-X

EDIT: Just realised you basically explain it in a later post, lol.

Really sharp stuff going on here, I love seeing Ulthwe eldar, and your titans are fab.

This might seem a strange question, but I was looking through the army app, and all the Guard lists seem to be rather specialised. I think Steel Legion looks even more "normal" than the Cadians, which seems odd to me as Cadians are the bread-and-butter of 28mm scale! I ask because at some ...

The colours of the basing and the army is very similar to what I'm aiming for with my Eldar, which are kind of half way between Mymera and Lugganath, on arid/sandy bases.

Really crisp gradients and highlighting on them.

Any ideas for a good Dreadknight proxy?

Closest thing would be an old Imperial Knight model or one of the Skinnerz things from Defeat in Detail:

Only just discovered this log - absolutely stunning work overall, top to bottom.

I'm in love with the well thought out colour scheme.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, FW thunderhawks were rare, the only equivalent rarity thing I have are the FW Warhounds. There was a Chinese site selling them a little while back but they seem to have been taken down.

EDIT:

Sorry, I mistook the tone of your post. Yes your right, I shouldn't worry about not having the right stuff - and should feel free to dive right in.

It is nice to have good tools though. I made the order and I'll have enough bits to share with friends. =)
