Thanks Pete! Commander Karth- I'll upload more pics later. We called it a draw, but Chaos would probably have lost. He was down to 22 morale at the end of turn 5 from his start of 62. I was still at 40+ with my Imperator and a three Bandblades + Stormwind so I probably would have pushed him off the...

Terrific, I'd love to hear more details of the action! Are there more turns to cover? Who won?

Heavy Shootas were from Gorkamorka or 40k 3rd Edition or something. E40k was designed during 40k 2e, when Ork bikes had twin autocannons (hence the 45cm range). Buggies had heavy bolters and other weapons, hence the 30cm range. Epic 40k Ork stats are accurate!

Very true, and here is E41k so that you can interpret those house rules: http://web.archive.org/web/20070304181332/http://www.spellbooksoftware.com/e41k/rules/index.htm In essence, however, there are not THAT many changes that come through in the army lists... basically there are a few new unit type...

I have some of all of them. But Epic 40K ruled the scatter lasers out. So I'm asking about rules. So maybe I could add: Guardians w/lasguns: 1 FP, 30cm Guardians w/scatter lasers: Guardians w/lasguns + Heavy Weapons andy Well, Guardians didn't have heavy weapons (aside from the grav platforms) in W...

Epic 40k Eldar Guardians are supposed to be armed with Shuriken Catapults, which is why their firepower is so high. You can actually see it on the model: http://www.galactic-intrigue.com/epicollector/Pages/2-Catalog/Eldar-Catalog/Eldar-Photos/Eldar-Warriors-Guardian4.jpg If you'd like to give them l...

Yes, that's the one! Those army lists are for Epic 40k, not SM, SM2/TL or EA.

To be clear, the lists do appear to use a lot of house rules, like Medics from Firepower magazine.

Yes, there were Epic 30k lists on one of the old Epic fansites... I'll try to dig around on Wayback, but it is literally a needle in a haystack! Edit: Aha! My memory is better than I thought! Sounds like a plan! The special orders are really best for sneaking into position for a firefight without taking too many casualties from shooting first. If you aren't going to be close enough for a firefight with a normal move, however, you'll probably need to use the Assault order instead.

I always learned that the point of base coating aka undercoating was to provide a clean and consistent layer of primer for your brushed paints to cling to. This was especially true of metal 28mm models, which were heavy and would chip if they were handled or tossed about too much. However, I have ne...

I'd love to read your thoughts on it! I was thinking along the same lines except I feel that Chaos Space Marines should be available as support, much like with IG. The thinking is that they would act as "advisers" to stiffen the ranks. I am also putting forth that this forum offshoot shou...
