http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Titans/VENATARII_REAVER_TITAN_MANIPLE_3.html A Reaver and two warhounds in a single unit - looks fun to me, maybe these sorts of units could be added to the new army list? You get a discount on the points cost at a penalty of 15cm coherency. Some suggeste...

I bought both the PC (well, Mac) game from Steam and the iPad app. The desktop game started out very buggy but has got progressively better as they've released patches (having said that, it still has a habit of just hanging at the start of the 'Stealer's turn every now and then. I guess the AI can't...

I spent some time today (I have a few days off work) doing a little experiment to create a free, open source, web-based and 100% client-side (ie no server you have to send data to) army list creator. It's very generic (it doesn't know about any game systems) so it's only slightly more featureful tha...

There's lots of evidence from psychological research that we derive much more pleasure from randomly-occurring rewards than from predictable ones (article here). Taking the random element out of a wargame is likely to completely ruin the fun of playing the game.

Not sure if the DRM Kronos might be a bit too big? Do you need it to match GW SG flyers, or the FW AI ones? the old FW AI lightning presumably had a ~4cm wingspan? (don't have mine to hand to check) Most of my stuff is GW or GW scale so FW scale models will look a bit odd, so I want to avoid them, ...

Thanks for the suggestions Apoc. Not sure if the DRM Kronos might be a bit too big? The Lightning looks very dinky, like it shouldn't be much bigger than an MBT.

Presumably because zombie robots don't call them gauss or tesla in zombie robot language, but humans who observe the weapons have named them in their own language after human scientists. Your second point is still valid though :D As well as being the names of scientists, they are also units of meas...

I am thinking it must be one of the smaller companies. Maybe even a company already into gaming, or have a gaming branch. To be honest Disney has so much cash if it wanted GW it could flat out buy it I suppose. There aren't any companies in the industry who are big enough to buy GW. It must be bigg...

I've updated the list to fill in weapons and point costs for some of the units, but these are very much "off the top of my head". Feedback greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately No Mans Land has just closed down, much to my distress. So any sort of event like this is probably off the cards for the time being.

They're definitely gone for good. There's rumors about that the culling has something to do with some impending sale of the company. Pending sale of the company?!?! I thought it was a publicly traded company. It's quite possible for a public company to be bought - once a shareholder has accumulated...
