Would it be interesting to play around with Etherals? as they are a fairly central part of Tau. I’m thinking there could be a few versions, perhaps list specific or put up as choices. so for example [Sept] Etheral : As long as the [Sept] Etheral is alive the formation may take a Doubble Move with n...

Hey Tastyfish, Thanks for the reply! I took a look at your Shapeways. I'll def be picking up some of the Greater Knarlocs plus a few plague tanks for my Death Guard. I open to testing different stats for all of the experimental units. The numbers for the Greater Knarloc would pulled from rough fluff...

And I thought I was finished, going to have to track down some Knarloc riders now... Did you have a Greater Knarloc model in mind? Might have to do a quick size comparison of mine as I feel it might be more of a 'Dawn of War' style beast. I'm going the same route as GlynG, converting the Kroot Bird...

Thanks Jimmy! I remember we talked about this idea when I first became AC. Took a minute, but finally got it put together.

Alright, so we've finally got this put together. V1.0 of the "Sandbox" Sept, a list for build your own Tau. This is a full list of current units from the 3rd Sphere Expansion list, Vior'la, and a couple new experimental units from old lists and some new ideas. The idea behind this list is ...

Gunslinger, thanks for the thorough response AND the new revisions to sink our teeth into. I've had the chance to play a couple more games with the Vior'la since my last batrep (Kingzog and Prawns have been very generous with their time) and I'm quite pleased with how they've been playing. For the ...

I will try and get a game in. What would you like tested against which army? Thanks man! Any approved army would be great, but the core ones (marines, IG, orks) are always the best indicators. Would be great to see what you think is the optimal list and trying stress test spam units. One thing I'm ...

V2.4 is posted! MW added to the EA on the Y'Vahra. Gun Drones stat line added. Transport added to Devilfish Pathfinders - optioned removed to swap devilfish for 2x infantry. Note - I looked back at the original documents and the Rvarna should have 2x2 shots (4 total.) My apologies for incorrectly cl...

Rules issues: - The Manta can carry a single Heavy Battlesuit. I cannot think of a single instance in which this would come up, maybe the Manta statline could be simplified by removing this. - For the Guided Missile special rule, do targets benefit from being obscured by terrain. I.e. would a marke...

Abetillo, me and warp rider are gonna try to do some more test games this weekend piting the vior'la against the salamanders. I was wondering if you (or anyone else) had any suggestions or is there anything that needs to be tested in the list? Thanks for the test games! Looking forward to hearing w...

Great work Dave! I appreciate the throwback initiative. The commissar repositioning is stand out, and I can't wait to see the final product for the Salamanders!
