I've made some good progress and have gotten lots of infantry painted. Most are glued to the bases and now I just need to texture the bases.

It was a productive weekend.

I am now in my third month of the Tale of an Epic Gamer painting project. It has been fun and I've made really good progress so far. For March, I've decided to focus on Tyranids. My goal for the month (NetEpic Gold) is a Hive Tyrant Brood, a Tyranid Warrior Brood, 2 Genestealer Broods, 2 Hormagaunt ...

I agree with Cuban Commissar. Alpha Strike makes BattleTech a playable game for large scale battles. I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing a lance vs lance battle could be played in about an hour. It would depend on the players and the mechs choosen. We had 3 lances per side and played this game in a...

I played a game of BattleTech: Alpha Strike with some friends last night and wrote up and AAR for my blog. I thought I would share it here for anyone that is interested. 3 lances of mechs per side with skill 2 pilots tried to hold a building on the edge of town. The mercenary force got lucky and did...

Thanks for sharing this Legion. it is great. I'm going to try using this for some other games as well. The only downside I see is that you have to build your armies after you determine the mission and objective. That can cause a bog down if the players take forever building their forces. Other than ...

I've completed my February painting goals this weekend. I'm happy with the results and can't wait to see these guys on the table. What I have now is a good solid core to build off. When I come back to the Eldar in a few months, I will be adding aspect warriors and some more (and different) grav tank...

I've made more progress toward my February goal. I have the Falcons finished and a second Windrider Host ready to be based. I've got the last batch of Guardians primed and I just need to dig up some Warlocks to be used for the command stands. It is great to see this army coming together. I like how ...

My next model is a Storm Trooper. I've tried a new technique (at least new to me) and I'm not sure I like it, but I think I'm starting to like the look after seeing it on the board in a game. More pics and my process for painting the model can be found on my blog. http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.c...

Thanks to all those that came before and put this together.

The Hive War book has a components list in the first couple of pages, immediately after the table of contents. Unfortunately, the other two do not. While I don't know of such a list offhand, I'd say that doing a websearch (using Google, Yahoo, or another search engine) would probably be the best ro...

I have come across the box sets of Renegades, Hive War, and Warlords. And Armies of the Imperium.

Does anyone know of a place I can find a component list for these? I'm gonna offer them for sale, but want to see if they are complete if possible.

Thanks,

Sean

I used my Epic 40k models for a game of GASLIGHT the other day. Turned out to be tons of fun and everyone had a great time. If you don't know, GASLIGHT is a Victorian Sci-Fi game. My group plays it pretty regularly so we all know the rules. I made a few modifications and threw down epic models and w...
