Just got off the phone from the FW chaps. He did some thorough checks, but they have no old stock left on any Tau, IG, etc. Gargantuan squiggoth is no more from what he said as well as the basilisk. They do have Chimeras left though. An interesting aside is the conversation I overheard in the backgr...

Just after some information on the Specialist Games Great Gargant. I know it's the same version as the E40K one, but does the SG one come with additional weapon/head/etc options? I know the Gargant does as it comes with the Supa Zzap gun which wasn't about during E40K.

One thing you can do is contact GW and then send the model in and get them to confirm. They then give you the means to recoup your costs from paypal and they'll destroy the model.

Aye, grab the aircraft while you can I'd also suggest. I seem to remember that there was the same talk just before the FW Epic models were pulled. So get buying!

Anyone knows who won them in the end?

£24, £32 and £44 respectively from what I saw.

Aye and I imagine trying to store everything or transport it is a pain. Let's see a typical apocalypse army that GW wants everyone to have comprises of; a Warhound titan, two full marine battles companies (Marines of course as everyone plays them these days and everyone know that 40K is Marine Vs Ma...

Extra large for us poor sods in the UK :) I've managed to strip down several plastic models including a load of cheaply ebayed warlord titans with this stuff.

For me, Epic was doomed to fall when 3rd edition was released. It caused such a rift with Epic gamers that lasts to this day with many players at the time abandoning the game or refusing to buy the new version outright (It also led to the development of Netepic). This inevitably led to its demise as...

Yeah, Warlord games makes use of some quality ex-GW staffers - Perry Twins, Rick, Paul Sawyer, Jervis. Definitely a company I'll keep an eye on.

Seen on Dakka today that Rick Priestley has "left" GW in some fashion - either sacked or redundant or retired, not sure which. If so, it will be a real shame. I'm sure quite a few of us here grew up with his name prominent in White Dwarfs and rulebooks as author and designer of the games w...

Well, looking at what they have on the website, Epicwise, they are down to a less than half a dozen models or there-abouts. I expect that the non-aeronautica pieces will disappear over time.

Just found out that he has another account: kaibakids. I had some stuff up for auction recently and he bought some stuff off me. I didn't realise who it was until I saw the postage address and paypal details (yes I had bought something off him in the distant past) and by then it was too late to do a...
