There were some neat rules for alternate Chaos detachments and even summoning daemons onto the table during a game in one of the Firepowers. To be honest, I was just thinking about this today or yesterday, but in a different direction: I have always felt that the Chaos army list is the one army list... |

Looking forward to this event and to meeting Epic players in Toronto. I was a bit confused with all the different rule references as well. My understanding: Standard Net Epic Armageddon rules and armies per the Tournament Pack (linked in Facebook). Modifications to those rules based on the Minigedd... |

The Facebook event page is really confusing... At first it says you will be using Epic 40k, then it says you will be using Net Epic, then there is a link to the Net EA rules... To top it off, the banner is for Titan Legions! Those are four different rule sets! By the by, are there any Epic 40k playe... |

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/5/58339/2842553-6359053_700b.jpg In all seriousness, I really enjoy assaults in Epic 40k. It feels pretty tactical choosing how to arrange it, you get to play some cards, a lot of models go boom and then someone always runs away (changing the entire stra... |

How much of an exaggeration is the "most players" comment about normal orders? :) How important to the rules do you think is the requirement to move towards the enemy on assault orders in the assault phase? Is it just because "you're assaulting, of course you'll move forward"? O... |

Hello Commander Karth! I have revised my Sisters of Battle army list. The units and detachment compositions are now based on the Warhammer 40,000 army. You can still use miniatures from Onslaught offcourse. New: Stats and cost for the Immolator vehicle have been added to the PDF at http://www.toco.... |

How about Special Order tactics? Special Orders are one of those things in the game that looks very straightforward, but actually conceals quite a bit of tactical options. The three special orders in the game are March, Assault and Overwarch. March: March is used to get somewhere quickly. Because th... |

All-Titan games are awesome in Epic 40k—I highly recommend trying it out. In fact, here is a battle report so you can see how it goes: http://wpggamegeeks.blogspot.ca/2013/06/not-ordinatus-day-epic-40k-battle-report.html The key is the super heavy weapons. They "scale up" with Titans so th... |

Some very good points re:EA and I have to admit, while I think EA has some nifty ideas, as a game, it's not really for me. It just never felt "complete" like Epic 40k does to me now. How about Titan tactics? This is a wide open field, so I won't claim to even begin to say the final word on... |

Interesting. I always found Space Marines to be weak (basic troops too expensive, vehicles don't have enough punch, with the marked exception of Land Raiders, which Chaos also received). I never minded that, though, since I am a huge 40k 2nd Edition fan and Space Marines are similarly a middling fac... |

Flyers can be amazingly deadly. There are a few White Dwarf battle reports where they are used to good effect. I always bring at least a little airpower because it is cheap and flexible (if enemy air is present, they go intercept, otherwise they go ground attack). Looking forward to more on the hex ... |

Yes, any unit can snap fire at a flyer, even an Eldar Avatar with Firepower 0 (I guess he just swings his sword in the air above him?). If a flyer passes within 10cm of an enemy unit, roll 1d6 vs the armour value of the flier to see if it is hit. Snap-firing does not automatically halt flyers in the... |

So then it becomes a point to get as much bang for your buck and to hit a primary target with everything. I should add that this is a good point. One tactic may be dividing fire to increase the number of blast markers you to distribute (to multiple enemy detachments), but the reverse is also true. ... |
