The confusion arises as there are several references to the formation counting as 1 formation (aerial Assaulting and ground attack for example). This leads to several instances of the benefit of being the largest/most expensive formation for an army with no draw backs. Just thought it was interestin... |

Hey guys and gals, We had a situation come up yesterday (that I'm sure has happened 100 times before but I've never really thought about it) that I'd like peoples thoughts on. Vior'La Tau had a Riptide BTS (4 suits). During the game, an Orca loaded with Crisis Suits was shot down on a critical. The ... |

Hey Simon, I just received a PM regarding the Scions of Iron: 1) heavy tactical can take hunters 2) heavy tactical supreme commander upgrade is too an exsisting unit, not an additional unit 3) heavy tactical upgrade options are a little screwy choice wise (able to take more land raiders than what yo... |

It would simply be a case of charge the nearest enemy unit whilst staying in coherency and we would use the Scout Screen from behind rule to clarify it. I see no way an engaging formation can enter into or start in the ZoC of an enemy unit and not be compelled to move towards it (Infiltrate aside) w... |

When this came up before it was assumed FF and CC never had arcs. Assaults being dynamic, flowing events it was assumed that turning and movement would take place (abstracted by the consolidation move and flying power fists). Fire arcs are also only mentioned in the shooting section and, as far as ... |

So I have been asked the following question: So when doing FF or CC with Titans or WE for that matter, do we measure the range and line of sight from the weapon on the titan/WE? I'm asking since most FF/CC titan weapons don't have a fire arc in their data sheet and most just add to the FF/CC (laser ... |

From the NetEA FAQ: Q: What happens to a charging unit that enters or starts in the zone of control of an enemy unit and it does not have enough movement to make it into base contact? A: The charging unit would move as much as possible towards the closest enemy unit. The intent of the rule is that y... |

If you start in a ZoC and select an Engage action, then surely you must move towards the closest enemy unit whose ZoC you are in to satisfy 1.7.3 (see dptdexys post above): "and use their charge move to get into base contact with the nearest enemy unit whose zone of control they have entered&qu... |

If you choose an engage action and are in a ZoC, you must move into base contact with the units exerting the ZoC. "If a unit finds itself in an enemy zone of control for any reason, then it must either charge the enemy or leave the zone of control when it next takes an action" I understand... |

Thanks dptdexys! As usual, you've covered it perfectly. I don't really see a need for an FAQ. One point to note is that if a formation starts it's move in an enemy ZoC, it is not forced to leave via the quickest/shortest route. This means it is possible (if there is space) using an Advance, Double o... |
