I wasn't thinking of limiting the action to Cadia itself, but allowing players to fight out battles across the sectors involved (ORk players can join in at Scarus, and so forth). And I got a replay from Andy: QUOTEHi Gary, If your website will host these fan-created projects then I'll happily link t... |

Ah, but aren't the 'new' vehicles (Defilers, Hell Blades, Hell Talons etc) supposed to have been specifically designed for the 13th Black Crusade? And the 13th saw the forces of Chaos seriously mess up Cadia itself, and cause havoc across the Segmentum Obscurus. It's really the only choice. And I'd ... |

In case you haven't read it, you should read the Third Sphere campaign by the former Tau Army Champion, JimmyGrill, linked to in this thread. It was the basis for my Kleistians, and it's an excellent campaign in its own right. Plus, there is plenty of room to add in roles for the likes of the Alaito... |

Well, I sent an email to Andy asking for his comments on the idea - I'll let you know which way he goes.

Might it not be an idea to email Andy and see whether he is keen on the supplement idea now, and take it from there? If he accepts the 'Black Crusade' and 'Third Sphere' concepts, well and good. If not, we have our answer in any event. And I would say that the Cadian list is better off staying in th... |

Have you thought of submitting your revised ground assault rules to Warwick Kinrade, over at Forgeworld?

What about: e) Get the Army Champions of each 'core' list involved to head up a team tasked with getting the army lists together, writing up the fluff et al, and have him submit the pdf to Andy on our behalf. So for my favoured neck of the galactic woods, that would be CyberShadow leading a team mad... |

Not necessarily one specific world - but a region of space (a few sub-sectrors, perhaps) in which the relevant campaign plays out. For example, the Third Sphere supplement would cover the same sub-sectors (Timbra, Roalck Sea, Shadat Gulao) as seen in JimmyGrill's campaign, and possibly add in a four... |

Marauders don't fit with the doctrine of the Grenadiers - Tiger Sharks (plus loads of Seeker missiles on the Barracudas and Orcas) would be preferred.
My Epic list has no artillery units included (and won't receive it, either), as it relies on Tau heavy support instead.

Well, given that I see the Tau reserving the Air Cadre duties for themselves (mostly), the list would be for the Airborne Companies - so your first option sounds fair. And one could deploy 'allied' air wings to rep the two groups working in tandem, anyway. OK - here's v2: GUE'SENSHI ASSAULT CADRE, v... |

Chaos or not, I'd still say that us Tau-fans should start laying the ground work for Third Sphere.
But then, I would say that.

See the thing is, the Airborne Grenadier Companies from the Epic list (wth Valkyries and Vultures) are at the core of the Kleistian army concept - that the establishment of new regiments in the Kleist system post-Protectorate would be based around fewer yet better armed units. The reasoning was that... |

I'd wager that we should put the Tau book up the dev list - it doesn't need too much work, and the minis are already there for them! For that book ,I'd say 4 lists would be enough (Tau, Gue'senshi, Elysians, Alaitoc) - it's a good number to go with, keeps things diverse enough to expand the game wit... |

Hi! In order to mirror what you see in my Gue'senshi army list for Epic, I'd (for now) suggest the following: Note that I'm not going to list the points costs - they will be the same as in the AI book - in case FW get annoyed! ------ GUE'SENSHI AIR CADRE, v1 Fighters Barracuda (including option for ... |

orangesm - the other Chaos Legions are not core lists (the only CSM list that is core is Black Legion), and if they ever see the light of day at all, it'll probably be in a combined pack. Great call on the Elysians for the Tau book, though! Who's writing them up, and how do we hound him into submiss... |
