Ya, if you can't get out of zoc you'd have to assault.

Both sides.

The closest thing I've had to this involved a terminator assault on a python. Marines won but the pylon lost. Marines stayed in base contact, and were immediately drawn into the assault when assault marines later engaged the pylon.

As in, you don't allow AP to stretch AT hits, and vice versa? One thing that supports the above is the last sentence of 2.2.6: Hits from macro-weapons can only be applied to units that are in a position to be hit by a macro-weapon. You can't use AP and AT ranges to stretch MW hits, and the same goes...

I've seen AT hits stretched with longer AT range (and AP with AP), but never AP with AT (or vice verse). The way the rules are written though it seems legit as nowhere does it say to treat AP and AT as separate pools of hits. You simply need range and LoS to roll to hit, and after that all those hit...

Got another game in with Coach this weekend against his Dark Eldar. Minervans lost 2-1 in the fourth, DtF & TSNP to BTS. Hellhounds shot some Ravagers to pieces before the Torrmentor stomped them. Griffons did light damage and managed to shrug off a Wych assault with a bunch of CC hits.

4.2.4 deals with what can hit aircraft making an approach/disengage move. It makes no mention of MW, just AA attacks. Got a game in against gunslinger007 today, and captpiett played berzerkermonkey. GS's 4+RA saves were non existant, 2 THawks full of terminators took out 2 russes and a hydra before they were wiped out. So a rough game for the wolves... 6 russes, 6 exterminators and baneblades were my core formation...
