How do we make G.Daemons worth taking in C.Marine lists? Is the idea in the Emperor's Children the way to go? Specifically by reducing points cost to 75. This was included in one of the many "playtest" versions and had me wanting to include a GD. Those "sledgehammer" Terminator ...

Have you played the summoning rule? The current one? Plenty, IMO it obviously works ok. Do you purchase G.Daemons for your force? What has been your experiences? Sometimes 1 GD, summoned mainly as Bloodthirster in "sledgehammer" Terminator formations for BL or with LatD as a Lord of Chang...

Summoning? Again? Truly we have been led to a land overflowing with sidetracks and long-resolved issues... The current system may not be perfect, however it is more or less balanced, implemented, accepted and working, if you guys are determined to aim for perfection, I´ll watch and wait. IMO you are...

Wouldn´t it be easier to also plainly state that no, you are not allowed the "Regroup" part of Hold and Marshal actions? IMO this is what most people would be looking for off-boards.

There are two batreps with Stalkers by me from 2008, vs. Siegemasters and vs Eldar. Unfortunately, no enemy air was involved. We had another game a few weeks ago looking to test mechanized BL with both Oblits and Stalkers, however my IG opponent messed up deployment by intermingling a garrison Inf C...

Oh dear, so we are stuck with Obliterators as the sole source of ground AA again?
:(

In capable hands Eldar are terrifying to behold, slaughtering all before them when properly set up and used, mitigating their few weaknesses by uparmouring Guardians, Falcons and Titans would overpower them in a heartbeat. Upping cost only goes so far when fun and gameplay are concerned, the list ha...

Quote: (BlackLegion @ Feb. 24 2010, 22:47 ) AntiTank Rifle with AT6+? Hmmmm i rather would give it AT7+. Managing to cause enough penetrating hits on a WW1 tank to render it inoperable would be a very difficult task. Would it? Armour was rather thin, spalling a major problem (british crews were...

You bought "Sacrifices" @ 25 points and got D6 summoning points out of them at the start of an action before the test was taken, and could expend more than one. No actual units in the formation were removed, the Sacrifices were just a non-physical formation upgrade. Edit: And gods forbid any aping o...

There is also the nasty crit, somehow Avatars always happen to go down in flames in plain sight of at least half a dozen Eldar formations, including a few that are broken...

Different formations in different armies have different purposes for different players. Very rarely E:A allows for a straight comparison. Never mind that Guardians are hardly an assault formation, they tend to take horrible losses when used as such and are usually combat ineffective thereafter. As s...

Quote: (GlynG @ Feb. 24 2010, 12:26 ) The fact 3/4 of the ones you take are cultists is indicative though. Mutants are usable but a bit of a sub-par choice compared to Cultists. Not sure whether it's enough of a difference to warrant a change or if anything small enough could be tweaked as -5 p...
