Forum: 6mm (and 8mm)   Topic: Thought about RP Infantry Figures

I haven't seen any Rapid Prototypes of infantry figures, my guess is they are too fragile.  I had a thought, has anyone had an RP done of the mold, not the master? I think if you have the RP shop make a mold of the figure instead of the figure itself, there won't be any tiny, fiddly bits that a...

Most of the rapid prototyped items here would run into IP issues for being advertised in such a way i think?

I noticed that, but if someone branches out and decides to do something that wouldn't have IP problems, drop me a line.

I'm a huge Epic fan, I've got a huge Ork Army, Tyranid Army and a Chaos Horde.  I am incredibly disappointed with the state of the game with Forgeworld, Specialist and GW.  I am however incredibly impressed with what you guys are doing with Rapid Prototyping and making new models. I've got...

Software: What 3d software is everyone using? I've tried Blender.  Intuitive and easy is what they claim, impossible and painful is what it actually is. I acquired a version of 3D studio back in the day.  Awesome program, freaking expensive. Has anyone tried Google Sketch Up? Also, has anyone ...

I'm looking to try and sculpt some bitz, long and skinny ones (long story).  I'm thinking:

Sandbags
Hedges
Barricades - Dragons Teeth, etc.
Ruined Building (GW has done it)

Any suggestions?

I really like the paint job, very nicely done.

I'd recommend that you buy a handful of cheap crappy marines or orks (you can find them cheap no problem) and paint them Tau.  Painting Epic is incredibly different than painting 40k.

Also, I second the above about mold grease.  I ignored it and painted some terrain, I

I am comissioning an epic-scale figure and I was wondering what bitz would you like to see?  Here are my thoughts: 1. ruined brick wall 2. plates with rivets 3. sandbags 4. trenchline 5. No ETA on the figure but I will let you know what comes of this project.  We are still working out the ...

I don't like that they are selling someone else's recasting.  Don't get me wrong, GW irks me, sucks that you have to pay $100 for a miniature once it's OOP but I just can't see buying a recasting. Recasting the stuff for your own personal use for bitz?  Maybe, recasting and selling for pro...

I get a lot of blank stares when I talk to people about converting and assembling epic. ?One guy refused to play any game where you could lose the pieces in your hair (yeah, that didn't make sense but he thought it was funny). What do you guys see as the norm for putting together epic figs? Thanks, ...

Anyone have an update as to when we're going to see new figures?

I think I posted in the correct forum.
