I have a copy of Final Liberation, the EPic 40k PC game available.  Although the mechanics of the game probably bear more resemblance to TL/SM.  Still in its shrinkwrap. And it's free to a good home, if you'll give me ?2.50 to cover P&P.  One copy only, so the first one to email me an...

September 2004 is FAR too soon for me - the army I entered last year was first begun for E40k ('96?), and is unlikely to be finished for Oct 2004 (and ineligible, given I entered last year).  I propose the time limit for entries fits in with my usual timescale for painting an army - so Septembe...

Whilst in general I think that the GW paints are pretty poor, and the inks are awful (commercially available artists' inks are far superior for the same sort of money), the only spray varnish I've ever been happy with is the GW stuff. I've wrecked plenty of figures with plenty of different brands of...

I did an Ultramarines army for the original Space Marine in a weekend - about 6 tactical detachments, 4 assault and 4 devastator detachments, rhinos for everyone, a dozen land raiders, land speeders, 3 predators and 3 vindicators. I used a spay gun for pretty much everything - white undercoat, mid-b...

My local games shop, http://www.spiritgames.com, has a *few* Epic 40k blisters left on the shelves. Knowing the prices GW are *now* charging for the Epic stuff, someone might want to grab these while they can (although the chances of anyone wanting the Tyranids are pretty small). Ork War buggies &nb...

Yes, with an "irregular" army like the Orks, different figures of different sizes on each base may actually help make them look better!  But I was also thinking that they'd make adequate Grots, and given the necessity for the little snivelling gits in the current list I thought that option migh...

After carefully reviewing all my Epic figures (and I have a LOT - given that I started with Adeptus Titanicus and bought a large army's worth of figures each time that Epic got a relaunch), I discover I have some spare.  Not spare as in "I'll never get around to painting these, but I can dream"...

If I were starting again, I'd be tempted by the Doom Eagles - a Codex chapter painted in silver with red details.

Isn't the point that if you have an enemy formation in front of you, and you want to shoot it, you should choose sustained fire yourself?   Choosing overwatch orders should not be a solution for the problem that you can't make your mind up when it's your turn to move -  "Do I shoot at thes...
