I would call it a "Donation" system, as I don't think anyone is actually thinking of "pay to play." Whatever you decide to base your support stream on, I'm happy to contribute, but consider that some would prefer to simply contribute to the cause as opposed to get any knick knacks.

Just thought I'd share this.

I wanted something different for my Ork Flyboss, so I did a little bit of snipping, cutting, and added a bit more Dakka...

Pretty pleased with the result.

Welcome, Adrian!

AT18 is a great game - you'll not regret this choice (well, maybe your budget will ;))

How many folks are giving AI19 a try, and how far down the rabbit hole are you going? I've decided to pick up more or less one each of the initial release, as I loved the old AI07 , and it seems like this is very similar, except using a hex map. ...and I think the miniatures are going to be a blast ...

Thank-you for that review, Kyrt . I got the impression - even before the release - that the starter box was just that, a sampler as opposed to the whole game. They made it pretty clear that the Rynn's World book was the path to the complete game. You are correct that it's a lot more pricey that way,...

One thing to add - as they've now revealed that there are 5 factions currently "in play" in the development of the game, This Article pretty much reveals what they have to be: Occulum Mistwar - Eldar vs. Orks Liberation of Enothis - Imperium vs. Chaos Armageddon - Imperium vs. Orks ...and ...

From the 4pm BST Twitch Stream with Any Hoare * The basic set was designed to allow you to do a basic dogfight * Designed as a short-play or demo capable set * The bases are new design for AI - does basically the same thing as the old bases * Rynn's world book has basic rules; adds background story;...

Yeah, I saw a Marauder in an unboxing vid, and they appear to have about a 3 inch (8 cm) wingspan!

The Ork 'Eavy Bommerz are going to be huge.

From a painter's perspective, I love it. From a gamer's perspective, it makes for a crowded table!

As odd as it may sound, I believe Apocalypse may be the gateway drug into a new "8mm mass battle system." Here's why: assuming that Apocalypse is popular, it will show that GW's customers are hungry for warfare on an epic scale, but price of 28mm models will be a barrier to entry. So, know...

I wonder what this is - some sort of cardboard playing mat, I guess?

Yes, it's purportedly a cardstock play mat that's significantly larger than the two-sided one provided in the starter set.

Thank-you GlynG for all the news posts!

Rumor has it that the release schedule for AI will be a new race/faction each quarter with 1 fighter and one other AC.

Specialist AC then done by FW in resin.
