I'll come back and add another stripe or two and maybe some symbols & lights to this, but for now I'm calling it done - its nearly too hot to paint here in the UK at the moment!  :sigh:

Oh, and I thought I'd share this, another of my favourite things to paint to. Starship Sofa SS is a weekly magazine style scifi podcast, with short stories, facts, reviews and discussion. There are some excellent stories by well (and not so well)-known authors which range from light & comedic, gritt...

The poor Orks are looking forlornly at me, but spaceships have captured my attention for the moment. This is a mini I picked up at Salute a couple of months ago, one of GZG's Full Thurst Japanese ships, a Hamana Class Fleet Refuelling Tanker. I picked this up on a whim and I'm still not really sure ...

There are tons of plastic suppliers in the Uk dude, no need to order from abroad. These guys: http://www.stephen-webster.co.uk/amari/stephen-webster/ are local to me and seem to have what you want. Try industry listings like these too: http://chemicals.kellysearch.co.uk/supplie....55 - there might b...

Now, I'm not really a fan of Gundam, but I do love a tasty giant robot (like most of us here I'm sure), and this is a rather spectacular example.

Thats what I call serious modelmaking!

Quote: (Jodrell @ 25 Jun. 2009, 16:36 ) I converted an Imperator into a Warmonger last year, and I blogged each stage of the process here. You should also find a complete list of all the parts I used. Here's an estimate of the cost of the whole thing: * £35 for the carcass of an Imperator on...

Cheers everyone! You do need a steady hand, but more importantly you want the paint to just flow easily off the bristles, so nice thin milky paint is vital (especially with white - I should have gone thinner with these infact and gone for even more coats to get it really smooth). A brush with a good...

I've just finished the first Ashigaru frigate for my Hostile Stars Pax and I'm really rather pleased with it, after starting to paint without any real plan other than the basic colours I wanted to use. None of my fleets for space games have used black as a primary colour, and I wanted to see if I co...

You CAD guys here have really got me interested in 3D modelling, I have to say; seeing all the incredible 6mm stuff and the fidelity of detail you are able to print blows me away! It's an area I've neglected, I enjoy working with my hands more than sitting in front of a PC, but the advantages are be...

Well I have a selection of contacts... some on the more architectural/nautical/aviation end of things, producing concept models, models for competition pitches, trade shows, that kind of thing. I also know a few people who are working for film companies, working on making props for features, as well...
