Your question is slightly confusing. Are you asking about the rules for actual 2nd edition or for NetEpic Gold? While the rules for the two rule sets are very similar, they are not quite identical. Further clarity would be helpful. That said, you are correct. If a detachment has lost its SHQ (which ...

To the best of my knowledge, this one has never been updated. Which is a pity, as it showed promise. If you read back a bit, the author just refused to budge on several key issues of how things work in Epic, and kept trying to shoehorn in rules that just don't work and or were completely unnecessary.

There aren't any. Well, that isn't entirely true. There are Points Formula values for a few specific Marine vehicles in a couple of scattered threads, but nothing organized. The main reason for this is that the people who wanted to develop rules for such units also wanted to heavily alter the basic ...

It was the Warmonger that was posted here. In the 'NetEpic Gold' subforum, on page 2, at the end of the page.

I'm not familiar with a "Warmaster". That must be something new. "Warbringer" sounds vaguely familiar, as it might have been a subclass of Warlord in 1st edition Epic. There are 2nd edition / NetEpic Gold rules for the prototyped but never produced Imperator variant here on the f...

As I've mentioned in the past, but you likely haven't seen it, I created the Points Formula system to attempt to bring some semblance of balance to NetEpic Gold. You can find it over in the Alternative Rules subforum. Give it a look at.

An interesting project. Good luck on that. As to your questions: 1. Scout Company. During actual 2nd edition play, I doubt that I have ever actually taken and used a Scout Company formation for actual on-table play. Partly this would be due to there not actually being minis for them, and partly due ...

Welcome to the wonderful world of Epic scale gaming, and welcome especially to NetEpic. As you can likely tell, the most recent version of these rules is the Gold version. If you haven't already, you might want to read through the Gold rulebook and the Codex books for the armies you want to play as....

Gold is a little more complicated than straight SM2 was, but not as much as it looks. For the most part, the rulebook for Gold seems more complicated because it (at least tries to) closes a lot of holes that SM2 had. A lot of those holes were closed back in the SM2 era, but in White Dwarf articles. ...

They did have official rules for 1st edition, that were published in an issue of White Dwarf. I do not recall which one offhand. I use them with NetEpic Gold rules, with the following stats. Support formation: 5 bases, BP 3, VP 1; cost 50 Move Save CAF Weapons Special 10cm _6+ _ +2 _ -- ____ Daemon,...

Yes, but not easily at hand. You could just use the values in the NetEpic Gold army codex for each faction. At the least, the costs for formations that existed during 2nd edition haven't changed much. On the other hand, based on the date of your post, the issue is likely moot by now. Sorry I didn't ...

It is my understanding of the Ancient Cannon description that each arm can be used as EITHER an Ancient Cannon or as a Power Fist in each game turn, as desired by the player. This versatility is part of why Bubonis is so hideously expensive.

Correct answer for question 1. The Lord of Battles does move double when on Charge (IE, always), but like any other Titan is restricted to a maximum of 90 degrees of turning per Game Turn. 2A is also correct. They function the same as a Company formation. 2B. In 2nd edition, that was correct, but in...

There does not appear to be a way to get to the archive from the netepic.org website, only via the direct link. I assume someone is going to fix that.
