I quite agree with your points re the war engines Cik, though I'm not convinced regarding zombies, and they will be addressed in the redux. My 'sigh' was at LoM starting with the snide comments again oh. sorry then. zombies aren't actually bad. or at least, i could see them being successfully used ... |

Plaguereaper needs a buff to its main gun, then it's plenty good yes. the baneblade itself is a little weak IMO, but you're right about the main cannon. it's heavy bolters and lascannons(?) are perfectly functional. 3BP disrupt works well on EUK version, it has built-in fearless and is actually rea... |

why do these things seem to be almost deliberately bad? they're overcosted and almost total jokes, they have no firepower at all and aren't particularly tough, either. imperial titans are almost without exception incredible, so why are nurgle titans and superheavies so bad? nurgle daemon engines are... |

i think a great deal of titans already aren't very good, so making up rules that further reduce their effectiveness without a massive cost decrease is kind of pointless. seriously many lists have titans that don't work at all already, don't make the rest of them bad too. deeper titan rules are cool,... |

warbands with +boyz or +nobz +kans can also be neat if you're going to use them to slash up some armor. not sure if optimized but ~whatever~ never used bikez off a landa, speed kults to me always needed to be bigger than a landa allows, and the speed on them allows them to do what the landa allows t... |

tried a midtable garrison stompa+dredmob worked absurdly well, though i think quite a bit of that was because no one expected it. i usually garrison big gunzmobs midtable so they expected a shooting match and planned accordingly. instead they got assaulted on turn 1 with things that aren't great at ... |

what's the average unobstructed LoS if you try pretty hard for a formation be able to see as much as possible? is it 60~ or lower than that on average? just need a ballpark to see if it's way off. |

alright, you've convinced me to give it another try. maybe it was just my earlier incompetence that was hindering me and not the dreads what size warband and how many dreads do you add? keep it small and difficult to focus? i might also be making the maps wrong. generally when i face lemans they are... |

a 9 strong formation of FBs is insanely useful in all situations, they are all-but immune to a normal amount of ground flak, and you probably wouldn't want to fly them into a nest containing 10 firestorms supported by CAP-ing nightwings anyway.... Your opponent has a thawk with termies or a vampire... |

dreads and kanz are just bizarre and don't really fit into anything but stompamobs. even there they're not very good. such a killy unit as a trumped up shield is just a waste. i'd rather put it in a warband but they're pretty garbage there at least against the opponents i generally face. Why are th... |

I agree with Neal.... a couple of formations of 5 FBs will fly through most flak, automatically ground attack when asked (assuming no BMs) and will easily break an artillery battery (and put a dent in a company if need be) two of these formations costs you an entirely reasonable 500 points, which c... |

eh. it still doesn't sit right with me. why have a bunch of units that are so awkward to use? dreads and kanz are just bizarre and don't really fit into anything but stompamobs. even there they're not very good. such a killy unit as a trumped up shield is just a waste. i'd rather put it in a warband... |

you guys honestly might be right about that. assuming equal map sizes, the more dudes on the table the more efficient warships will be considering their chances to hit things increase, as well as the average damage they'll inflict with the massive templates. food for thought. |

Hasn't the cost of the BattleKrooza already dropped to 200 points. If the Imperial Guard artillery is such a problem that you're thinking of spending 600 points or so no it why not just use a large fighter bomber formation on it and fly through the flak to get at them. They can be used every turn t... |

i just think it's basically suicide to use them cost of planetfalling [ghazghkull's list] battlekrooza 250 points landa 200 points warband ~200 points so that's like a stompamob that can for SURE apply all of it's firepower on turn 2 if not turn 1 except it's way more finicky to use, requires extrem... |
