Thanks for complimenting. My aim was 3000 points 'and a couple of units', but I seem to have bought so much minis I won't have a problem fielding maybe 4500 - plus of course the mandatory eventual warbarque conversions and the necron bigjobs units.
The little guys are so hard to keep count of. |

Ok, I understand now.
It does kinda make sense that obelisks are so small compared to monoliths, they're so much wimpier stat-wise. Even if a bulkier model would impose the ancient evil to a more suitable degree. |

Hey those are cool. Why were they changed?
At this precise moment I'm painting a new obelisk, but I'm beginnning to doubt I won't have the patience to paint all those power lines on every one of these... white and red and all...  |

| Well you could undercoat the Obelisk white. Then paint all recesses briglty red. Then paint evertyhing in this frostbite-black but keep care to not paint the recesses. This way it will look as it would glow red from within. That sounds really interesting. But I suspect that would mingle too much wi... |
