If Epic was starting over from scratch I would love the bases to be different for different armies - Imperial guard in regimented bases of 10, orcs on 6-8 strong chaoticly placed bases, tyranids running forward ant like in single file, etc etc. |

In terms of play, do people feel they can always have enough reserve to lower the margin of defeat? So contest enough, get in opponents half to only lose 1-0, 2-1, etc? |

Conversly I find guard very hard to use vs marines - especially leman russ formations which just seem too slow to do anything useful. The Terminators popping up in the rear, thunderhawk contents slaughtering my units in close combat and warhounds skipping around with strat 5 I only really deal with ... |

Certainly different from how I used to use heroes when shooting we formations (treating them as a target formation from the position of the spacecraft deployed as per the rules in the space craft section - indeed the note on targeting seems to make little sense otherwise?). Anyway - death to the com... |

The dummy gw spat out. And nothing wrong with sculpted nipples. Do they grant an invulnerable save in epic? |

Tried a few times assault marines with the preds with flamers in the sallie list for 250 (same as here) and they were an ok formation. Slightly more likely to field it than before as otherwise the assault marine remains fairly redundant. With the synergies with the hunter can't see the destructors g... |

Normal if they are going to be doing something (often with 1 or 2 extra boys+grotz) like getting transport, or being loaded into a lander. Otherwise big for ground pounding infantry duties. Uge is just too unwieldy on the table. Though taking it and loading them into those big battlewagons is fun |

Do you think the knights couldn't push back against the chaos forces? They seemed pretty static - understandable given Chaos were right in front of them. But surely in that situation you would think you have the ability to take them out? Firepower would be on sustain, aassaults possible with assault... |

For other Marine formation upgrades perhaps 50 for one and 75 for two? And this is where I sit for costs. Problem with that though is there is no change to a single vindi. And 25 point saving on getting 2 is of little use as there is near zero current use for 2 of them. I can't think of any formati... |

The reason I would go with Tims 25 points is that I initially thought 50 points for 3 griffons would be a steal, but it hasn't quite worked out that way! After try a few lists in theoryhammer I can't see an immediate reason to go all in with vindi's. Indeed they still seem to be a secondary choice b... |
