Thanks for getting back to me. I should clarify that the knights I mention are from the Epic UK list which is. 5+ reinforced with an invulnerable save. In this case, with a normal AT attack I can fail my normal save and reinforced and then still get to use my invuln save?

Does a unit that uses it's reinforced save then get to use its Invulnerable save after also? Eg. A knight or necron monoliths.

Well, looks like the new version of Epic is here. Though limited to The Horus heresy.

Slimmer base size for titans as well.

Be helpful if you had a link to said picture but I wouldn't see why an epic-like game wouldn't just use the same old bases the AT stuff came with. More likely it's angle or something else inconsequential. One day GW will produce something along those lines again but I don't see anything indicating ...

Hey all, I might be behind in my info but is GW ramping up to a new edition of epic? There was a picture of a warhound titan on one of the latest teasers for Adeptus titanicus that had a flat round base, I have seen a few posts that talk about this being for the new epic that is rumoured. Does anyon...

Rule book highlighted relevant part SPECIAL RULE 1.4.2 Abilities Used At Start Of Turn/Action Some units have special abilities that are specified as taking effect at the beginning of the turn. These effects are resolved before the Strategy roll. Similarly, abilities that are used at the start of a...

Hello folks, What is the consensus around how to handle teleporting if both sides have them? It makes sense to me that the higher strat gets to pick who goes first and then each side alternates placing a unit. However, this is not my opponent has thought happens in my last few games; they have it th...

Thanks for getting back to me and clearing that up. In a similar vein, can you choose not to fire some units in a formation e.g. formation of manticores o ly firing half their units as to get shots on every turn?

Hello,

As the title sounds, can a slow firing unit save a shot for next turn? E.g. the warhounds 2x plasma shots, can I shot one a turn?

I know this is the case with the net epic Armageddon rules but just wanted to check if this is the consensus with the Epic-Uk version

Armour values only go up to 6, so the Marines get no additional benefit from a fortification than they do from other types of cover. https://thehobby.zone/resources/e40k-compendium/Content/CoreRules/Terrain.htm#link3 Infantry units in cover increase their Armour value by the amount shown on the Inf...

I have looked through the rules a few times and can't seem to find out what happens when a unit gets a cover bonus that puts their armour value over 6+.

E.g. SM (5+) in fortifications (7+).

What happens in this situation?

Quick rules question:

As the assault one is one move to get into 15cm an that you cannot embark, move, disembark from the units transport vehicle in one move does this mean that a unit with transport cannot get in, move and get out for the assault move?

Nevermind, I answered my own question; you get 2 regular IG to the 1 HW squad for the same points.

Is there any point in not taking heavy weapons squads in infantry detachments vs normal squads? As far as I can see they cost the same, but have the bonus of the +1FP and range. In my reading of the rule the HW trait halves the assault value, however as the value is 1 already this gets halved then r...
