*Sorry, but i sometimes have to use American Standards. You don't even have the same gravity over there! Don't even get me started on temperature scales here either >:( I follow the good simple English way of doing things. When it's hot I say "oh it's over 90 degrees (F), but when it's cold I ... |

interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years as 3D printers become more affordable and/ or more accurate. Given that they were not precise copies and weren't for sale, the creator should avoid any problems, but those files aren't going to stay hidden, no matter how many take down no... |

They were MW4+ in the EA Compendium 2.1 http://www.scribd.com/doc/88413005/Ea-C ... m-2-1-en-1 but I'm not sure of the provenance of the docs used to make it. Still, if everyone's been using MW3+, including EUK, without anyone spitting kittens over it, I'd guess that it's fine as is. |

don't get me wrong, nightspinners are fun to use. They're a cheap fm that is better at affecting the opponent's movement and actions by it's threat than it is at actually killing anything, and that's just fine by me. If they do actually kill something (which happens, most of the time) then I conside... |

night spinners are like Avatars, they either do amazingly well and thoroughly annoy your opponent, or do next to nothing the whole game. 60cm range may push that more to the former, but the increase in points necessary to balance it would make the consequences of the latter more annoying for the Eld... |

looks great, good start! As a recommendation though, it might be worth putting the flags at the back of the stand (like the farseer one) so it doesn't obscure any of the modesl - the poor DA exarch will never get to swing his sword with that flag flapping in his face |

sounds like Fearless-lite, which is no bad thing. What about assaults - would they make saves against hackdowns? |

it's a shame we don't use dice with 1/2 values on, as Tau would do quite nicely with FF4 1/2. Simplicity and speed vs. completely representing an ability I guess |

I feel like the FAQ quoted is a bit of a gotcha. It still doesn't feel right (to me at least) to discard units at the beginning of the game in order to gain deployment options (other than Marines) and it appears that quite a few people contributing to this thread feel the same way. If the ability to... |

Beautiful bases Dave, they really round put the finishing touches to some stunning models. Now, what about that lone red carnifex of yours? |

While I understand the point that the Eldar list may not have been built with the concept of discarding units in mind, are we really suggesting that doing so to make use of Vampire transport would produce a radically different result? The point is that Eldar already have the means to deploy strong ... |

Ginger, I don't think that the wraithguard example is a red herring at all. The other deployment options cost more points (250pts minimum, for a single Storm Serpent) and can be nullified by the opponent quite easily. Finagled wraithguard+guardian fms are easily as good as a 300pt Aspect fm (Biel ta... |

with regards to the wraithguard example I think it's worth bearing in mind the benefits the increased staying power of the wraithguard grant to the formation. I've played a huge amount with Guardian+Wraithguard fms and the wraithguard add far more to the fm than just increased assault capabilities. ... |
