Hi Found the old Space Marine simple & fast for a regular game of about 12,000pts each side. OK - not quite the same 40K flavour as EA, but simplifying the rules works for large games. The roll 2D6+mods each, loser dies in close combat was fast. Certainly miss those large games in a garage over a we... |

Hi Couple years ago tried a 12,000 pt defence game with larger army assaulting. Usd a 6'x5' table, (TSS terrain), with buildings, etc by Snapdragon. Defenders were Imp Gds, with plenty of tanks, against Eldar with plenty of infantry/bikes. Imp Gds didn't use any Titans (I have plenty), but Eldar had... |

Hi I like larger games, especially attack/defence scenarios. I've got large Eldar, IG & Marine armies, (excluding my several titans), plus a small Squat one. Typical IG attack formation is: Support 3 Shadowsword Co's Stormahmer Co Stormhammer Det Baneblade Det 4 Rocket Co's 2 Arty Co's 2 Whirlwind D... |

Hi I understand where Erik is coming from - have got massive armies here doing nothing. Got (most) of my army & support cards from SM, and was the first to buy EA in Gloucester, but still can't get any games round here. In my opinion SM was much easier to play, but EA had more 'flavour' with the exp... |

Hi Some great boards shown - getting a bit nostalgic! Friend of mine used to carve out set terrain pieces out of some blue poly foam stuff. (Then plastered over with something to 'fix' it before painting). Enjoyed playing on an 8'x4' alien rocky terrain. Myself, Ive just got some TSS terrain with so... |

Hi Don't know about Oxford - but I'm up for a game in Gloucester. Sorry - don't have my own transport & use a walking stick so I can't carry too many models. On positive note - have large (12,000pts) armies each of Imp Gds, Marines or Eldar. (And still have most of my Space Marine company cards, etc... |
