I love both epicomp and gothicomp. I have been somewhat successful in both, and I have to say without these competitions I would not have the incentive to paint (its hard to find the time now that I'm a dad). As such, I was saddened to read the preceding post by CS. I cannot believe people would sto... |

Thanks! Looking at the top of the regular raiders, the area seems a bit too broken up to make freehand like that work without sanding it flat. I think you are right that black in that area would help out and I'm actually leaning towards making the entire raised panel that houses the stormbolter and... |

I'm a big fan of weathering in general, but yours is always fantastic. You do a great job of placing it logically, and this really reinforces the scale well. You will need to break up the reds on the top of the raider without the missile rack. What about a big blood raven icon, maybe set against som... |

excellent greenstuffing! I'm very impressed by your precision and symmetry. The work looks very smooth and professional. Can't wait to see more! As an asside, those tools look great. But if others are looking for a "budget" option, consider asking your dentist for old obsolete hand instrum... |

THe light cruisers are my favorite! I think the proportions overall of those vessels are great. I'm amazed you got such good definition on the weapons casts. Can't wait to see the final fleet! CF |

Thanks, but surely this is blasphemy. Everyone knows the only true modelling hero/god/comedian is an amphibious mammal who goes by the earthly name of otterman. |

This looks great! I like how you have thought about the background and how you have a great overall theme to your fleet. I can't wait to see all the ships when you are all done, because I think this will be one of the most unique and striking fleets out there. While I like your wings they way they a... |

You must have a really, really steady hand :) Haha, thanks. Actually its mainly using the right instruments. This paintbrush helps a lot. Its an 18-0 liner brush. Its designed to hold lots of paint, but allow for controlled thin curves. I use it for all the curvilinear stuff, and for lettering. It ... |

Thanks everybody, Yes horizon is right (psyker!!!), the jewels are greenstuff. Basically, the upper bow guns, the bridge, and other details were sanded off. Greenstuff jewels were hand shaped. The lateral cannon pods were made from the epic phantom titan. More green stuff was added to the bow detail... |

Hi all, Here are some pics of my latest additions to my eldar fleet. I thought I had some WIP pics, but can't seem to find them. Anyways, the upper detail was sanded off of the hemlocks. The VS has putty (well, actually dental composite) added to the front and top bridges. Green stuff over the light... |

Hi all, Hope I'm not jumping the gun here, but horizon has asked us to discuss possible changes to the category rules for the next gothicomp here on Tac Comms. In case you haven't read WR 26 (then go read it now ), here are some suggestions: "The fleet category in 2009 has been a great succes... |
