Evening all,

Could someone share a couple of sensible/balance small starter marine lists?
Doesn't need to be 'competitive' but after a couple of builds with sensibly sized formations to playtest e40k with 3mm minis.

Hard to find e40k sample lists around!

Cheers both , how long did they take? Hard to say as I wasn't working on them very consistently, but didn't feel like very long: for the smaller ones especially it's contrast out of the bottle for 90% of the mini then add in extras with normal paint. Lol. I've got some 3mm sci-fi, haven't gone down ...

Question 1: Do size and shape actually matter (within reason). Would round bases be OK as long as they were about 400mm in area? Size and shape does not matter as much as E40k initially suggests. While the game moved to 12*40, i think somewhere buried in the 3 rule books it does explain that troops...

a few years back someone on here did a praetorian guard regiment using transparent bases. Also I think brummbar or similar has his 3d printed stuff on transparent bases.

great to see L4, I like the gaia myself – had a couple of blisters of them waiting for when the right project comes along. (and they were a bargain at the original price! although think that went up at the end)

Day by day I am more drawn to splash out on the Contrast paints and try to really get into using them regularly, lovely work! I'm a bit of a convert really. The end results are not as good as proper painting, but in my first decade of painting epic i somehow only did … 1.5 armies? last couple of ye...
