I'm not a fan of endless marines fighting marines either, thats the one thing 40K has too much of already. I'd take the current setting over the Heresy era any day.
As an aside do you know a chap called Ryan, used to organise a Winter Warmer epic tournament? (Might still do!) |

Bristol has had a long running and vibrant wargamming community, which is nice (I was there in the early days!). I'll see about dropping by BIG on a social visit then.
Legions Imperalis isn't Epic but way I see it more people playing tiny wargamming the better! |

| These forums are barely used these days to be honest but still good for historical purposes. Wow a fellow Bristolian! The rise of social media has been pretty rough on the old style forum communities it seems, thanks for the link to the discord I'll have an investigate. I've been thinking about loo... |

Been away from warhaming for a while, very happy to see Epic and the forum still survives. Is there a separate board where life continues for Battlefleet Gothic?
The board seems to be archived and read only? |

Quote: (GR00V3R @ Feb. 11 2010, 22:42 ) For what it's worth, it strikes me that the "the Marines list is an airborne/drop list" argument is fallacious. It's not intended to be an airborne/drop-only list |

| Quote: (Hena @ Feb. 11 2010, 18:37 ) As far as rules go, I think the flanking should be done before getting too close to enemy. Scout allows creating confusion to enemy with they ZoC currently and by removing that, you'd downgrade their abilities a bit. I think it's better to allow some tricks ... |

| Quote: (Hena @ Feb. 11 2010, 06:35 ) That said the intention of the rules is not to allow taking an engage order to move away from ZoC of a formation and then fire fighting that formation (of course with enough units, you can base away the ZoC leaving others free to FF). Thats fair enough I gue... |

| Sorry Chroma I totally disagree with that excuse no matter how many times it gets repeated. Whats next? You're going to advocate that IG should pay 500 points per valkyrie/vulture because they're 'not supposed to fly'...  If its a unit in the list it ought to be a ballanced and effective unit an... |
