Everything turned out real good.

Nice story too, you could do it with stop action animation like Thunderbirds TV show.

I like to use an airbrush for base coats and painting blocks of color, then I will come back in with a brush to touch up. Because I use the brush this way I need to use the same paint for both applications. I keep one bottle for brush and pre mix a bottle for the airbrush. When you start airbrushing...

Its a thread about E40K in the E40K board. Seems good to me. ;)

I missed where he said he played E40k 3rd edition back in college, now I see how it ties in.

FW Epic are mainly plasticard and hand sculpt. The tank treads are supposedly electrical ties. Another technique used for small scale is brass photo etch. I believe this is what GHQ has been doing all these years. And I suspect that is where any icongraphy and some of the small detail present on the...

This is disappointing because this summer I picked up some Eldar Phoenix from FW and they came in the 'new' plastic clam shells with the insert entitled "epic scale Eldar Phoenix". I foolishly considered the use of the new packaging to be a hopeful sign. I am sure FW/GW were having an issu...

The highlighting looks good, but I think it would be kinda fiddly to go through everything over again just to put it on (touching up everything is something I would do, but then again that doesn't mean it's a good idea or rational). That is quite some army, perhaps you should change your name to Ecc...

You can thermoform sheet styrene (widely available) in a similar manner as resin, water needs to be hotter (almost boiling, although with the thin sheet your interested in it may require slightly less heat), then you can slump it over a form. I imagine you could use a heat gun instead of water if yo...

Yes, don't slack on the hybrid breeding program. More quotes a little less CAD.

I like the rivetless version better. However rivets can be a nice element for painting techniques. The riveted version woild look better to me if you spaced the rivets slightly by lowering the overall number of rivets. Right now it looks busy and steampunkish, that has already been overdone in small...

Pretty good idea, I like it.

Mods should move this to the 6mm painting and conversion sub forum.
