I agree. I've been looking to buy one of these since I saw them, but I really don't have the time right now to fix it up once it gets here so I went with the citizen battle mat. It's also a good product but needs a wash or two to tone down the florescense and some variation to the surface. It only ...

that looks pretty neat. $80 to cover a full table before terrain pieces seems a bit steep though. :D I thought it was cheap. Especially compared to some offerings from larger companies. Unless I scavanged for styrofoam, sand, rock, paint etc., I really can't see how I could do it myself much cheape...

I usually play at home, I pretty much always used the standard green mat or my city scape tiles I made from floor tiles. Well I started to get real sick of the Citadel green carpet. It just looks to pristine and cheery and I really wanted something that looked grim dark and only war, like my city ti...

Of course you could do this. Suggestions are made in the rules for doing things just like this. What is kinda neat about third edition is that it has some pretty obvious mechanisms to allow individualization like this. If you read all the rule books with an open mind they are almost like a tool box ...

Nice objective markers, always enjoy seeing the diorama basing people have been doing as of late. For a better deal on textured paint check out the texture gel line from traditional art supplier Liquitex, huge 237ml containers, different textures (some better for 28mm, some good for Epic), and you c...

Wow, great stuff guys, that is looking cool as just heavy artillery, or the full blown Ordinatus, nice work all around.

Release date is July 23. If I get my stuff much before then I'd be very surprised. I'll certainly be posting thoughts when they do arrive, however. Thanks for the info SG, I missed that bit about the date on Hawks site, so much to see and read. I'm really trying to resist buying the Scourge army de...

Just wondering, has anyone that placed an order received any of the miniatures yet? And if so, how do they look. I really can't get into learning a new rule set, or try getting into a new background, but some of the miniatures look like they would be fun just to model and paint. Quite often stuff lo...

No, I simply mean.better. Cleaner details and straighter lines and proportionst that are the same on each figure. I'd say you're quite wrong on the level of detail on my timeline figures, but then, Hawk have some fantastic painters behind them, and I do not. In addition, bobble-proportioned figures...

I'm actually underwhelmed by the infantry models - I could sculpt them a lot better. Their vehicles are fantastic though. If by 'alot better' you mean you would use true proportions, I guess that is what you do, but that is a matter of taste. Hawk Wargames infantry have more reproduced detail in th...
