Oops, meant to say that it'd be coming on from a table corner, so it'd "only" show about 2/3rds of the radius (so about 1m in). It'd still be pretty substantial though! |

Still looking at it, and I'm now planning to do it as built in as part of a board, rather than a modular terrain piece, as it is quite big... If it's 'only' 3km across, then it would have a diameter of about 10m in Epic scale, taking up 54 tournament sized tables I'd read the Tau fleet PDF before, b... |

I used local.live.com to get an aerial photograph of London, and then sketched the size I think the war spheres would be. The blue circles are the bases, the red the outermost edge and the green and yellow bits the 'feet'. I think they'd be about a mile across, which translates to about 50m (I think... |

Reduce there total cost? Aren't gun drones are more expensive? (12/25=?0.48 each for Firewarriors, 5/10=?0.50 each per gun drone). Though I can see it if you've run out of firewarriors Army wise I plan to get: 2 squads of firewarriors (built from three sets of firewarrior sprues plus half a gundrone... |

I'm starting a Tau army, and want some sort of objective/terrain piece thatn other club members can look at and go "woah, what's that? I want to play!". A piecfe I thought would be good is part of a landed war-sphere, having part of it with a giant 'foot' sticking onto the table. Something like this... |

I think it should have leader and the Tau special rule: "coordinated fire". I can see a command tank coordinating a fire action, but it's hard to imagine the prometheus coordinating an assault...
Giveing it leader aswell would probably be a good idea.

So, I'll need: -Varnish -Spray pain (I've be using a brush before now, but I'll start using spray) -Bases for the skimmers -Terrain, to try and thin the numbers of FW per base! Any suggestions on what type of glue to use with Resin though? Is superglue okk, or should I use something completely diffe... |

I think alien auxiliaries should be 0-1 (or similar) per fire-warrior cadre. Would you trust aliens with fancy new guns near your shiny new tanks without an equal number of minders to keep an eye on them? Doing this would still allow people to take an all mechanised force, but stop them from adding ... |

I'm starting an epic-scale Tau army, and want it to look as good as possible. I collect and play a small 40k tau force, but I wanted to know what extra bits I'd need: -Do you need to undercoat/paint differently with Resin models? -Are their any paints recommended over the standard GW ones? -What typ... |

QUOTEAnd taking away support craft and making it a skimmer would mean technically another war engine could block LOS. I can see people just taking the model off the base and letting it sit on the board. You end up with this terrain hugging stealthy craft that hides behind buildings and such. It doe... |

First post... What's wrong with replacing the "support craft" ability with skimmer and planetfall. It could hug the terrain, or decide to "pop-up" every turn using the normal skimmer rule. It wouldn't be able to hide in low hills or in a city since it's to big, but it isn't impossible to imagine it ... |
